I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Some call it Multi-tasking, I call it doing something else while trying to remember what I was doing in the first place.

The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

Grandad,
That is not when men were men, that is when men were young and penniless and had to do everything the hard way, with rented or borrowed hoist and engine stand!

Do you think young blokes would get away with that today or would someone complain and dob them in
Unfortunately I feel it would be the latter

Who had an engine crane 50 years ago!?
Some crappy bits of pipe joined wig-wam fashion with a block and tackle slung up the top was how I used to do it . . . BUT never out in the road, always in the driveway (no shed or garage then).
