My wife found this one on the internet:-

Every time you have an improper thought, an angel hits you on your head. That is why there are so many bald men about.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

That explains so much

Don't make excuses for horrible people, you can't put a flower in an ars hole and call it a vase.

(You will note that I have left a letter out so that people cannot say that I am rude)

A woman in a public toilet found there was no toilet paper. She asked the person in the next cubical
Do you have any toilet paper?
"No"
Do you have any Cleenex?
"No"
Can you change a ten for two fives?

People that think they know everything, upset those of us who do.

I have two for you this week because I will be away for the next couple of weeks and probably will not have internet access. (OK, you can stop the sighs of relief now)
By the way, where is Grandad from the Isle of Wight these days. I hope you are only away from home and not ill, Grandad.  Your contributions are sorely missed.

Experience is a valuable thing, it lets you recognise mistakes when you repeat them.

One heard by an American on British TV:-
A hundred miles is a very long way for you, a hundred years is very old for us. (I think that applies to Aussies as well)

If a job is worth doing it's worth doing it twice.

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

I  had noticed grandad was not as active
Might be on holidays

Is the Isle of Wight were the motor bikes are raced at ridiculous speed on normal roads ?
And Morris I do enjoy these "sometimes sayings" although I am at times not worldly enough to understand them
