Now I think you were really on to something.

When I was working in the trade up at 4.30 bed at 8.30, truck driving start when I woke up and went to bed when I had enough, went to bed at the top of Cunningham's gap late morning and got a surprise when I came out of the fog at Maryvale and the sun was in the review it wasn't the 6 o'clock I thought it was. Lost a whole Saturday and a fair bit of Sunday out the front of the Aratula pub after one long week, but that probably doesn't happen anymore with all the rules and regulations these days.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I am back after 13 days away, only to find that my Internet access did not work for another three days and now only for a few hours a day. Makes me wonder what we are paying so much for each month.
I did go past Tailem Town in South Australia but I did not stop as the temperature was 40.5 degrees, which is too hot for me to go wandering around in the sun. I was wrong, it is not Old Tailem Town. Due to expansion of the town of Tailem Bend, the place is now about one kilometre from a huge roadhouse and about three kilometres from Tailem Bend. The trucks lined up looked a lot cleaner and more loved than they did last time I was there.
The following is something my Wife found on the internet. Moderators might want to move it to Electric Cars or whatever that thread is called.
Imagine if all motor vehicles were electric and somebody invented and started selling Internal Combustion engined ones. Think how well they would sell:- a vehicle of half the weight, half the price, that does about a quarter of damage to the roads. A vehicle that can be refueled in minutes, a vehicle that has the range of up to four times the distance in all weather conditions. Does not rely on the environmentally damaging use of rare earth elements to power it and uses far less steel and other materials to build it.
Just think how excited people would be, it would sell like hotcakes!

Sell like hot cakes Morris, but only to old people, the rest of the world has moved on, we spend millions of dollars digging up gold to store it in a shed, go figure that out.

77Louie400,
They might be fine for those who live in Capital Cities or their suburbs but not much use to those of us who live in smaller country towns.
I cannot see any connection to gold mining.
Do not blame me for the things you do not like.

Hello Morris, I assumed your refence to environmental damage of rare earth, was from mining of those rare earth minerals, if that was the case the I was just making the point, that we do a lot of environmental damage with other mining for very little human gain, if I miss read you point then I am sorry.
While we are discussing electric vehicles, hopefully without offending you again, the big winers with the move the electric will far and away will be country people, Will be county people, who often use one third of their fuel going to get fuel or pay transport to bring it to them for a third plus of the cost of fuel at city prices. Fuel cost on a large productive farm are a huge cost and we are only a few small steps away getting rid of that.

77Louie400,
I simply copied the article my Wife found on the internet. I had no input into it and do not necessarily agree with everything it said.
