According to Jerry Seinfeld, people's greatest fear is public speaking. The second is the fear of dying, so at a funeral, you are better off to be in the casket, rather than saying the eulogy.

Any time I have a headache I take two Aspirin tablets and keep away from children, as it says on the packet.
 

Night vision technology has been with us as far back as WW1. Here is an early German experiment.

 

 

This is another TRUE one:-

 My Mother-In-Law's first Husband went to New Zealand as an 18 year old, to avoid being drafted into the Army. He married his first Wife when she became pregnant. Her Sister was married to Fred Finucane.  Fred was quite a character and loved his fishing and shooting. When he was still working, he often stayed in his caravan on Saturday nights, near a favourite fishing or hunting spot.
 One night he was woken by a gang of Bikies riding around and around his car and caravan, making as much noise as they could and kicking the caravan as they passed the corners. Fred poked the muzzle of his 303 rifle out the vent in the caravan roof and fired two rounds.
The Bikies all suddenly remembered an appointment somewhere else and left.

 




 

So true. I recently read this book - very easy reading and not an academic study paper. It is a huge best seller.

Made me understand why there are so many idiots. 4 basic types of humans and if you are unfortunate enough to be in the smaller group it is a cross you must bear. 

It does not tell you how to solve the problem or make you a better person but gives you an inkling of where the idiots are coming from to give you a fighting chance. If you are in the large group doing the surrounding it is terminal so  just carry on and do your best.
