The caption says "Him" but the drawing clearly shows a joey in the mothers pouch. I can understand Americans not knowing that only females give birth but I think Bluey and Curly cartoons were drawn by an Australian. Maybe he was, to quote a lady I used to know "an imported person."

How far in the Outback does the cartoonist think an Atkinson road train would get on the fuel from that little can?
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Morris you are gender shaming. If the kangaroo identifies as male it is male - get with the program.

Split radiator hose just going for some water?

Lang Do you mean that kangaroos now have eighteen different sexes the same as people are now supposed to have?
In a lot of the outback. water would be harder to find than diesel!

I believe kangaroos must be within a day (about 50km) of water to survive. He/she obviously knows where there is a hidden rock hole.

I week or so ago, I was having a cup of coffee with a few blokes, including old Mate who used to run a country mechanical workshop and fuel station. Old mate told us about the time a customer came in and complained his car was overheating. In the conversation car owner said he had recently changed the thermostat. Old mate asked if the car was overheating before the thermostat was changed. Answer was No.
Old mate said he would check the thermostat. Car owner said no, do not do that, I have just put in a new thermostat. Old mate who is not the most sympathetic of people said there is nothing I can do for you then, and sent the customer away.

Its hard to win an argument with a smart person, but near impossible to win one with a stupid person.
