Running a bit late with my weekly blab, just got home from the Heyfield "Vintage Show" which is what they now call the Heyfield Truck and Tractor rally. It was great show with lots of restored trucks, cars, tractors, steam engines and stationery engines. The tractor pull and the grand parade were popular. Catering was by the Seaton Fire Brigade and all the volunteers knew exactly what to do and did not get in each other's way. It was the fastest service I have ever seen. The items you asked for were handed to you before you could even pay your money. My Wife was curious about Seaton and as it was only 13? kilometers away, we went to have a look. There is an intersection with the Fire Station there and nothing else. It is obviously the centre of a farming community.
I recommend the show to all enthusiasts. There is free camping for exhibitors and plenty of accommodation in Heyfield and surrounding towns. We stayed in Maffra and had a great meal at the Sporting Club.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
