I guess a cordless bus is the same as a cordless drill, useless unless you can get your shit together.

I remember sometime in the mid 1980's a mate brought back a couple of couple of Cordless drills from America, it was when they started to turn the Homebush stock markets into a sporting complex, we were working on some real high lighting towers, the cordless drills would have been really handy if he had known to buy a few extra batteries.

We have come a long way now even in the last 3 or 4 years with Battery tools, 4years ago I had a few cordless, a lot of corded and a lot of extension leads in the Ute, now the only thing with a cord is the little welder and even in the workshop I only use cordless tools, they are all brushless and last forever, it's whole new world, but don't buy the Chinese shit.

We will see the same leap forward in the next 4 years so don't make to much fuss people will remember.

I totally agree

Cordless tools have made huge leaps and bounds
The brushless drills etc are the go on heavy work, melted plenty of brush holders

No longer a issue with cordless tools

It wasn't that long ago that we had to ask and book in for a time to turn the power off on the job on building sites
Not anymore

I agree 77louis400, but how do you know which ones are chinese? Many tool sellers, as with car sellers, do all they can to hide the fact that their product comes from China. I told the story on here a few years ago that I bought a waterpump for my 24 year old Mercedes. It came in a box marked all over with "Genuine Mercedes Benz Part." The plastic bag it was in, inside the box said "Made in Hong Kong"

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yes Morris
Mercedes have full disclosure. The plastic bag could well have been made in Hong Kong to package the genuine Stuttgart part. Got to be true..

Its not easy Morris, you have to work at a bit, the way I see it is every dollar you spend with the aggressor makes the aggressor stronger, I will put it another way that will motivate you a little to look harder, every Dollar you spend with China, will come back as a bomb for our grandchildren.

Not the end of the world but over 100 electric cars have caught fire in Florida since last week after being submerged. Several thousand others have been damaged but electrically isolated to try to stop combustion but those which went into salt water are described as "ticking time bombs" by the Florida state fire chief. We need the next generation of battery's, there is a few in the pipeline that could change the Game but probably 4 years out yet. Lithium is a bit too volatile to be a long-term power source but reasonably recyclable though.
