A mate and I put together a Suzuki LJ80 with all standard running gear but a Willeys Jeep fibreglass body kit that came from a company in QLD. We just went ahead and built it first then got the engineer to inspect it. The only thing he wanted to see upgraded was he wanted steel plates fitted underneath where the seat bolts came through the floor and the frames the seats sat on slightly strengthened. Not a bad effort for a couple of mugs.
Initially it was going to be the new beach toy for fishing but a bloke came along and made an offer too good to refuse so it lives up Tamworth way somewhere.

There is a writer of childrens stories and he goes around the place in a Dodge Fargo ute that sits on an Isuzu chasis and running gear. It really looks the part with no fresh paint and some welded in patches that have not been sanded back but shows a small amount of surface rust that never gets any worse. It does look brilliant.

I had a quick look through the window PDU and the inside looked basic Bedford. The following day it was driving around and the bloke driving looked local,
