This is a very interesting graph. Transport is a miniscule contributor to green house emissions when it comes to food. Land clearing and farting sheep and cows (includes milk and cheese production) are the big environment killers. We should all get more pork - and chicken - on our fork! Note nuts and olive oil are actually reducing emissions by more leafy trees on existing cleared land (not oil palm replacing decimated rainforest).

Contrary to popular belief ruminates (cows and sheep) are green house gas producing neutral and this proven to be correct
Just saying, perhaps we should do our home work sometimes

The graph was to put up on a truck forum to illustrate the low pollution contribution of transport in the food chain. I don''t know how accurate it is and have no axe to grind. Probably done by a bunch of people a lot smarter than me. I eat beef, milk, cheese and lamb, drive a diesel ute and fly regularly by airlines.
When I see the word "proven" it worries me as the opposition use it at every turn. I think it is a 'shut down the conversation' expression like "the science is in".

Yes, there is climate change.
Yes, some is natural, some we are contributing to.
No, we do not need to get hysterical.
No, we do not have to destroy our economy, living standard or way of life to fix it today.
Yes, we have to improve by using technology sensibly as it becomes viable.
No, we do not need to adopt every experimental idea universally.
Yes, we should be investing in technology.
Yes, we may have to adapt in areas that don't suit everybody.
The problem and solution are so blindingly bloody obvious. Every problem in the world is because there are too many people. We are f.....g our way to oblivion. You will have to stop!

Lang, I assume because youv’e quoted the ‘research’ that you have read it ?
Re the link:
- What do they exclude from the green house gas assessment done for the report ?
- Do the report cover cattle soy bean consumption. And if so - is that all of the soy bean or just part of the soy ?
Enuf questions for now - Lang, I think you will be surprised just how nonsensical these UN reports are.
