Like others I’ve had the first astra zenica and was tired the next day. Wifey had hers day before yesterday and was winching the truck around the next day. My son who lives in USA had his second Pfizer vaccine two days ago and said the side affect was like being hit by a truck and then run over with a steam roller. His girlfriend also was badly affected.

Yes Jarrod, working in the nursing homes you should have been pushed up the line as an essential service.
We got in early because of the diabetes but I too go to nursing homes for work a lot.

Had my first COVID shot during the last week of March & a Flu shot a few weeks ago. Due for the 2nd COVID shot early June.
No side effects with any of them so far touch wood.
Still gotta question the speed with which it was developed given most vaccines in the past have taken 4 years!
Stay safe everyone
cheers
Pierre

My thoughts exactly Pierre...!!!

Hundreds of millions have been given with no disasters. Although it is fast it is the greatest human testing in the history of the world.

Just go and get it!

Just saw the combined state and federal statement on covid vaccine problems.

The only verified possible link to serious (as compared to minor headache or short term lethargy) is blood clotting. With 50 people a week being admitted from non covid related clotting those possibly linked are miniscule. For people over 60 the chance is rated at one in a million.

In other words you have more chance of being crushed by a wombat falling out of a date palm than getting a blood clot. Younger people have a higher risk in the struck by lightning catagory.

If it gets out into an unvaccinated population which is fully on the cards we will quickly exceed road accident death possibilities.

We all have a civic duty to help with killing the beast!

Asking people to be rational by working on the odds won't work - look at all the folk who lay out $100's to win a million even though the odds against are 50 mill or more.Targeting an emotional response might work better. On the other hand offer a lotto ticket for a $1 mill win. So for say 10 mill shots that works out at 10 cents each - cheap
