Every excavator used to have the keys left in a hole under the floor ......so a float driver could shift the machine.............and every cat machine had the same key ...........Now I see ads on fleabay for sets of machine masterkeys........being Chinese ,they probably dont work, but maybe.

Recently purchased a 24v, 300 amp Cat master key and switch off flea bay, seems to work just fine.
Turned it upside down and, yep! You guessed it, "Made in China!"

It took a bit of working out before I did it, as well. Would have been easier if I had a tow tongue with a cup on it, then I could have saved the jack from the Wife's car. I know that sockets are for inserting bearings but I have never used one as a horizontal shock absorber/distance piece before. I'm pretty sure that as the tongue has settled down on to the step before I even move off, it should be OK. The load strap instead of safety chains is my own invention.:woohoo:

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Load rated shackles hard to understand as shackles are for lifting not shock loading

I agree Browny.. In fact Our Towing Rules are a bit strange I reckon..
Bigger Trailers have to have Both Safety Chains & a Brake away System.. Which seems a bit self defeating to Me..

Seed, the way I interpret that is if the trailer comes unhooked for whatever reason, the chains are supposed to stop the drawbar from hitting the dirt and the breakaway is designed to activate before the chains reach maximum, thereby keeping it all under control.

Just the way I read the rules.
