One night coming down the freeway towards Sydney about 3am, half a dozen of us were playing silly buggers trying to stay awake come over the top as you drop down to Joles bridge north of the Hawkesbury we came across a car or should I say we all nearly run over a car coming the wrong way up the freeway looking for his trailer, it was about 5 K's back less the A frame

Many trailers appear to be designed/built specifically to break at the A frame ... (crumple zone maybe?) either at the front of the chassis, or at the spare wheel carrier.
One (big name) trailer that came in for repairs was a heavy duty jobby, 3.5 tonne GVM. A frame was 150mm by 75mm; 6mm wall.
Four bolt Tow hitch had the rear bolts into a plate made from 3mm flat ...

The South Australian gummint supplied guide to building trailers makes for some entertaining reading, and goes a long way to explaining some of the failures that occur.

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

If only he could have found a piece of hardwood!
Oh I remember hardwood costs more than pine.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

You can dry your towels on the twin towel rails as you drive home from the beach.
