We are taking a short cut home from the new England tablelands to home mid next week. So when your getting close to Taree hopefully we can get a glimpse of this beautiful car cruising along

We are hoping to get away 01 August. Finish is planned for Sunday 18 August at Linfox Car Museum in Melbourne.
You can see there are 4 days fat in the plan. It looks like one may be used as a lay day in Canberra at the National Museum. The other days are for slips to be used as required to meet the Melbourne date. Benalla may become Albury.
Day 1 Darwin Mataranka 422
2 Tennant Creek 567
3 Camooweal 471
4 McKinlay 417
5 Blackall 633
6 Roma 487
7 Brisbane 477
8 Brisbane Lay Day
9 Port MacQuarrie 560
10 Sydney 391
11 Sydney Lay Day
12 Canberra 286
13 Benalla 452
14 Melbourne 213
so how is the time line looking Lang
Has it shifted much or are you still aiming to be roughly in these spots at these dates

They called late yesterday to say the engineering was finished and they would fit the repaired universal this morning. We will get away whenever it is done even if we have to drive in the dark to Grafton this evening.

Had the absolute pleasure to meet both Bev and Lang today as they cruised past home on the highway. I got updates from the trucks on the UHF with their latest position.
The Bean is a beautiful machine and sounds lovely. Is longer than I expected but stands just right on the road. What a marvellous achievement they have made on this epic journey following Francis Birtles drive all those years ago.reading of the travels as updates were made then remade to avoid conflicts to now see it back here in Australia is fantastic. With just over 1000 klms to go the Bean is in fine fettle and up for the job.
Thanks for taking the time to pull up, meet and have a chat.
