Your better to die trying than live on your knees begging

The spelling of waggon on the front of the truck seems a little odd to me
I wonder when it changed to just one "g" in the spelling
Great find Cobba
Paul

Yet PAINT YOUR WAGONS was just one G.
like the solid rubber tyres on the truck but there is a mystery as what did they do to the team wheels. It's not on a track or I cant see any tracks

The North Sydney tram network was separate from the Sydney one, even after Sydney Harbour Bridge. Trams crossing it from the north had no connection at the south end. A transporter wagon took trams to/from the main workshops. The Manly system was also separate, but was linked to the north by a special tram-only ferry. Open-access links:

Wagon and waggon are different spellings of the same word meaning, among other things, a sturdy four-wheeled vehicle for transporting things. Waggon was preferred in British English until a century ago,1 and it still appears occasionally, but it is fast becoming archaic. In this century, the shorter one is preferred in all main varieties of English.
The word was derived from 16th-century Dutch 'wagen', and appears in French as 'wagon'.

Obviously the hard rubber truck is from the early era, wonder what make it is. Has tow hooks same as WW1 and '20's trucks. Maybe Dennis? or a Thornycroft BT?

The Sentinel company insisted on spelling their steam wagons with a double g which probably kept it in use longer than otherwise might have been the case.
