I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

A few years ago there was step by step directions of how a member made an adjustable leg out of one of those old vertical hydraulic jacks to fit from the ground to just under the tray where he had his crane. I thought about making one but did not have my truck on the road. Any excuse will do.

Cobbadog, I welded a loop on the top of the folding arm on my crane, that way I can lift it up and out with a chain block setup on my garage/shed/workshop

That was me on my Hilux ... And it worked perfectly well ... Until the bearing let go in the bottom of the swivel on the crane ... At the time it was a couple of years since I'd done it and I'd carted a LOT of firewood
I pulled the crane off to fix it ... But that's as far as I got ... I don't have a need for it now so I didn't refit it.
My hydraulic leg and mount I made for it are still there. The leg was an old Lightburn highlight jack ... I've tried to search the post on here but had no luck
