Thank you, Lang that made my day, I did my electrical apprenticeship in a workshop that did commercial refrigeration and electrical, it also had a motor rewind workshop that keep us going and paid the bills. The star of the show was Daphne, she was a little rounder than that Lady, but nobody could come close to winding motor in the time she did. We would give her a hand on the big ones, but you would just get in the way trying to help with the small ones. there were a couple of blokes that done the rewinds as well, but they were like watching paint dry. It's a dying art here now because the rubbish out of China is so cheap but is still a big thing in places like India and South America and I would expect Eastern Europe where labor is cheap compared to the price of casting steel and aluminum. I know of at least a dozen big rewind shops that were still in the game last time I looked. I pulled a 600 KW one out last Christmas to be rewound in Sydney as it didn't test well, there is still a lot of big one's getting rewound in Australia, I would say anything over 50KW would still get rewound here.
