Yes Mammoth,
Very close. I was calibrating the new electronic tacho in the bus. The number nuts (coach screws) matched the timing gear teeth that triggered the transducer.
I used a laser rev gauge to measure the lathe RPM. (note - the shiny square). The wheel and nuts were triggering the rev counter's transducer in the clamp.

Bluey, the shaft doesn't need to be splined to do the job. Just make the OD the size of the ID of the plate. This goes even if the two plates have different size splines.
I had an assortment of these made up when I was working and found that if I didn't have the exact size I needed, go for the next one down and space it to fit by wrapping tape around it to size. A lot easier that cutting splines, BUT, if your keen and like a challenge, more power to you.
Steve.

Bluey,
The Kobata has a dual clutch too. On the Kobata, you have the adjust the distances/gaps on the pressure plate such that the PTO releases before the gears. Trouble is, it has to be done sort of in-situ and it's near impossible to get to everything.
I ended up mounting the pressure plate onto an old car front brake disc (aka a pseudo flywheel) and was then able to adjust the gaps on the bench. You just need to find a way to be able to press and release the pressure plate.

Jon-d the other duel platte clutches I’ve done are like that one disk for main and the other for pto with different size shaft /spline
This one has the pto clutch in the backend the main clutch has two disks on the one size shaft which means that you have to have the loose one has to be centered and the splines lined up as you fit it to the flywheel so the aligning shaft has to fit both disks
