Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

I used to drive past here when dating the girl that became my wife as she lived in Camperdown and I lived in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We still drove past it (but less often) to visit her parents.
During those years it went downhill, got renovated, caught fire, was rebuilt but I have not been past there for over 10 years so have no idea what it's like now. I think it was either demolished or partially demolished then. I know the animal enclosures (out of picture on the left) were long gone

Photos of the site as promised.
Quite sad, driveway and concrete work for the fuel pumps, old sign frame and swing out back.
Not a good place to pull up as double lines and road quite windy through there still.
CRB updated the road mid 1960’s and claimed a 70 MPH design speed for the corners. Us lads tried them out. Before that, some very slow corners and narrower road.

thank you and apologies for the delay in replying. I have been discussing my requirements with the NDIS and they almost agree with me now!

Copied frim Facelessbook
1960. Out in the manna gums at Stony Rises, 10 miles west of Colac, is a little koala named Cuthbert, who plays on a see-saw and takes motor-bike rides.
There's quite a story to Cuthbert. It began about three months ago when Stan Swayne, who runs the Koala Motel in the district, saw Cuthbert sitting on it's mother's back in the grounds of the motel.
One of the baby koala's eyes was badly cut and infected, Mr Swayne noticed. So he took the little koala to his house, set up a miniature gum tree for him and began bathing and treating the sore eye. After each treatment, Mr Swayne took Cuthbert back to Mum.
When Cuthbert's eye got better he did not go deep into the gum forest with its mother. He settled in a small plantation of manna gums behind the children's playground at the motel.
