Yes Cobba, the forum sure has a wide and interesting range of topics
Just think how boring it would be if it was only trucks

I don't know about Cow Taxis but I see a lot of B Doubles with two-deck cattle crates and the name "Beef Bus" on the rear. I think it is rather clever.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

And as our minds wander between topics I shall join the herd with a minor expression from my taxi days:

Our bruddas appear to prefer cababout rather than walkabout . . .

not boring at all Paul as they are are interesting in their own right. You lot may think Ive been sitting on my rear end and being quiet but no way. I was suppose to do Jury Duty tomorrow but it has been cancelled so we are planning another trip away with the caravan. !st the caravans new straight axle has to be fitted and is in the workshop so should be ready early this week. Old crappy overlay axle is bent again so a heavy axle is being fitted with bigger bearings and U bolts.
So while waiting I been palying with trains again. Some time back I bought a bloody large layout with a heap of carriages and engines. I got the layout working again to about 90% of what it should do but no parts in it were trai n set related. The guy was a radio repairer so he fitted old parts from old radios eg a volume controller for the speed controller with a 3 way switch for forward n reverse. It tested me no end BUT the icing on the cake were all the locos n some carriages I waned then sold off everything else for what I paid for it.
So  I now have an extra 5 engines/locos to use not all are period correct for my layout but again the challenge was good.

Layout has been a long n slow progres over the last few yers. Its finally getting close to being finished or at a stage that im happy with it. Pics will come later today then a video of one runni ng around in circles. Never knew there is so much interest in model trains a so many people I know all have one or want on.
