I recall an interview after another Bathurst win & the hapless reporter asked him something along the lines of “How do you feel?”
And quick as a flash he replied “ How do you think I feel? I’m buggered” or words to that effect.
I’ve never gone much over 60 mph (?)but his description of being thrown all over the bench seats & hanging on to the steering wheel for hours on end at high speeds is stuck in my tiny mind
