How I would loved to "had" owned a bonneted K.W, but settling for a cab over had to do.

They certainly pull big $$$$$$ when they have a bonnet.

Mick Travlos (Olymbos Express) had a 12 iron in a cab over KW (Unit #3) hooked up thru a 13 speed OD and running Eaton 44DT diffs @4.11:1, although we did put faster diffs in it after he got units 4 & 5. He used to run Melbourne - Perth for Frigmobile and later on used to run TNT XT. Going one up he used to do the east west run in 48 hours, his best was 44 hours until they started going two up with the XT. Thats about the time he started running a couple of SAR's with 350 Cummins in them.

mentioned the old kittles atkenstien on the hume run forum yesterday and come to think of it there are a couple more that are still about. mcfies paddle handled rig last at a truck yard about 4 years ago..has its id decal on the rh door opening ..as well as the miers tpt...olympic...mick t...etc cab over still doing perth from melb although not the same rig that we remember it as .this was the tnt liveried truck;recabbed after the fire then recabbed again and what ever else in all these years.this one had the exhausts cab mounted as original
