Basic SU Carburetter (note spelling) questions was created by HeyCharger
Hi Guys,
OK, a few basic SU questions. How do you identify which type it is.
Mine have;
1) 4 studs holding it to intake manifold.
2) 3 screws holding suction chamber.
3) the numbers AUD 9 (on the outside of the body), AUD 2874 (inside the body), AUC 1332 and PDC8, PDC9 and PDC10 on the relevant pistons and AUD 9203 on the float bowl. Damper has AUC 8103 marked on it.
I believe they may be HS6, but I'm only guessing.
When they state 1 3/4" etc, where is this ACTUALLY measured?
Also have what appear to be 2 vacuum pick-offs (one is 5/16" diam and a smaller one, which I presume is for the vauum advance). Don't know what the larger one is for.
Any help appreciated. Thanks. Rod.
