You blokes obviously don't get out enough. How do you swing a two way gate unless you get out especially if your tipping concrete.
As for the shovel on the head board I've still got one however getting in the back of the truck to use it is another matter. Not allowed to climb higher than 1.5 meters

I've still got mine there and I still use it. It's more unsafe to have a couple of hundred kilos of gravel hangup at the front of the tipper. I don't have an air release tailgate and I am loading myself as well so my legs get a stretch every 45 minutes or so.

I enjoy looking at all the other things around in the picture too. How long is it since you've seen a shovel hanging on the headboard of a tipper?

Most grain trucks still have shovels on them but they are mounted under the bin

Note the early IS number plates

That would be only the second NSW interstate plate issued as they started with ISA then went ISB etc, so ISA OOO was the first then ISA OOI

Never noticed that the front of the commers were different

Four headlights for a Knocker two headlights for Perkins motor . I was going to write Perkins power but that would be an oxymoron.

LOD Co-Op had these trucks working out of South Bulli Mine.
Will Boland's White Road Boss. Over the years Will's brother John and their father Vince and Vince's brother Pat all had trucks working for LOD Co-Op.

Just noticed a few people using photobucket whose photos do not come up Overnite etc.

It says update your Photobucket - is that me or the poster.

With direct photo transfer available everywhere why pay for photobucket?

Maybe someone can tell me,

The bucket is/was free. I think the poster needs the update.
