Hearses

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
It is certainly not a Ford model T. In fact I think it is a Dodge and not a Ford at all. I also question it being a hearse as it has an open back. I believe the body to be what the Americans at the time called an "Hotel Car" or "Station Car," etc., used to collect and return guests and their luggage to and from the local railway station.
Maybe the owner is on the forum and will put us all straight.

Gee, that's some rust in just a few years - that rego is less than 10 years ago. The 2007 Otismobile was KQF.

Your not wrong, it's very harsh on vehicles in the npa. I have a photo of it resting in a different place about 4 years ago and the roof was still intact. I guess like its cargo it is returning to the earth from which it once came.

Coffin-carrying hearse illegally overtakes truck in South West.
September 4, 2018 Albany Advertiser.
video: Watch the moment a hearse, with a coffin in the back, illegally overtakes a truck on Albany Highway.
A hearse, fully equipped with a coffin, has been filmed illegally overtaking a truck on Albany Highway in what could’ve been a ‘deadly’ manoeuvre.
The video, which came from a Fletcher International truck driver’s dash cam, was posted to the Albany Advertiser’s Facebook page on Tuesday where many debated the cold-blooded incident.
“Pretty obvious the hearse would have been half way passed before the line changed to solid,” suggested one user, who argued no laws were broken.
“He’s on his way to joining that coffin in the back,” wrote another.
The video follows Great Southern Police’s backing of dashboard cameras, which they say can help in keeping reckless drivers off the road.
