This just can't be topped, and I won't try, but it can be complemented, and I will, but not tonight

Inspired by the previous posts, here are two marginal entries. The one at Lake Goldsmith seems not to have been a vendor van at all. Globe Hotel floats, but doesn't go to river clients: they come to it. The fire-hollowed stump contains the toilet. I guess that lots of owners of vintage wooden-hull ski boats call by in season, but I was there out of season, and took the photo from my boat before tieing up alongside. The van on the bank seems to be a mobile stage for bands.

I was in a fleet river voyage with the owner of an SA winery; at stops he had cellar-door sales from a genuine cellar: the hull of his large paddleboat, kept at a stable temperature by the surrounding water.

The pink-and-white icecream van in post #31 almost looks like something Walt Disney would produce! Any idea on what breed it is?

Keep these oddities coming Roderick - muchly appreciated!!

Wow,
there are some beauts there: the old ones include what seems to be a Morris, and a small Ford.

I'm not licked yet: I have a satay vendor for tomorrow.

Cone on man,
where is your sense of adventure?
These are truly brilliant.
Now for South America and South Africa.
Keep 'em coning.

Meanwhile, various youtube videos of icecream vans (Greensleeves, tonibell):

That's enough to digest tonight, but there are lots more for me to scoop up.

As promised, a mobile satay vendor. This is not Indooroopilly last year. This is Bangkok on a normal day.
There aren't many khlongs on the touristy east bank, and some have been filled to be come roads. This was on the west bank. There are cruises which also visit an orchid farm and a floating market, but I was on an express cruise, and got lots of photos of normal life on a khlong.

Bangkok: Floating satay vendor. Sun.28.1.01. (Roderick Smith)

Back to the starting point, there are lots of web references not yet listed.
Here is Mr Whippy in Australia, with some old and some new vans (and Greensleeves playing).
