super single 1/25th scale was created by Albion
I have the pleasure, sorry make that the honor, to work with an Aussie transport icon that's done more within the Australian transport scene in his life time than most people may ever get the opportunity to even attempt.
This mate asked if I could help change a super single 1/25 scale pantech that he built into tri duels.
This is what we came up with.
We cut the rails and narrowed them to allow the wider duels room and keep them under the body.
This meant cutting and narrowing the axles, also the chassis spacers. When the super single were removed they were broken off, the duel hubs drilled, the axles drilled the duel hubs pinned, the hub pins glued to axles and wait for the glue to dry.(easy pezzy no?)
This turned out to be a disaster with the rims tyres, pins not glueing properly and soon parting company from the suspention.
We had to drill through the brass axle's we made and put a full length bar right through to the duels on the other side.
After trying the easy way we settled for the only way but it was good fun.
While I had the pan and units at my place I added some decals and signage to his units and trailers.
Bruce had made this pete ages ago so some signage was in order
I put some paint and home made decals on the W model
Done the same for the cab over pete.
Throw on some flaps and bling
pete at Bruce's man cave on display.

Now that's different, modifying a "completed" model.

Forgot these,better late than never.
Here you can see the braces for the cross members
These pins I put into the holes drilled into the axle but didn't work out
The long nose pete under the trailer.
Thanks to Bruce McDonald for his permission to show his models here.
regards albion.
