Can anybody help i am trying to make a model of a acco 3070 that i used to drive back in the 70's. It was single axle drive. I am looking for the dimensions of the two fuel tanks and also the wheel base front to rear. From there i should be able to start putting it together
Any help greatly appreciated Thanks

Not sure what tanks were fitted to the 3070's

But my A series manual (which doesn't inclued the 3070's but would expect similar / same parts) indicates the number and size of tanks might have been an option to be chosen.

It lists 3 different size tanks. 159litre, 227 litre and 391 litre.

My 2150B has dual tanks one 227 and 391 litres. And just measured them and the 227 is 25" long and 22" high. The 391 is the same highet but 42" long.

As to wheel base again think it can vary depending on order. One of the other guys on the forum will know what are the standard wheelbases are.

Have you got a picture of your old truck? Might make it easier.

Then it could be same configuration as my Acco 2150B as that is the tank configuration I have.

The Passenger side 227L

Driver side 391L

Biggest difference would be the grill. But rest could be similar.

I've seen 3070's with a few different combinations, the long tank both sides, a long one one side, a short on the other, 2x short ones one side and a long one on the other. I think by the time they got to the 3070B's they had long tanks both sides. Every one of those long tanks I have seen has had the baffle broken out of it, I reckon Jarrods would have a better than even chance that his is broken as well, The way they are welded in almost invites it. Sorry to get a bit off topic there.
