I had thought of linking this to either the Mercedes 6wd thread, or to the Modern Hino thread (competitor in the same class). Here it is alone, but perhaps others have photos of the same model.

I don't know the model, or the tech specs.

This is another cropped from my regular contributor Jeff Bounds.
I left the van behind the tram showing: maybe people can get the identity from the slender clues.

I think it is an Atego, their 8 ton version. Probably a nice truck to drive but the Japanese trucks dominate this market sector.

This one isn't a Mercedes, but it is modern, and sits here better than starting another thread.
If I had realised how many delivery-van photos I would accumulate, I would have started the thread with a different title.

This is another crop from a photo from a prolific contributor. What is it?

It's an Isuzu NPR or Nqr, can't make out the decal on the front of the cab.

Thanks for that. Since it was a crop, that was the full available resolution, and it is tied down sufficiently for me.
Here is another of the genre. These are crops from photos of trams in street settings, which I am scanning for tram groups.

Thanks again. I do keep finding more.
This one is hardly 'modern': I took the photo in 1970, but I find it hard to think of it as historic, and it sits with these delivery vans quite happily.
It seems to be a refrigerated (or insulated) delivery van, but certainly not an icecream-vendor van.
My guess: Toyota Dyna.

Maybe a Daihatsu, which looked the same. Horrid little trucks to drive but near indestructible.

Jeez Roderick the pic of the Toyota Dyna at Murwillumbah rail station bought back some memories,
it was owned by Aub Martin Seafoods of Tweed Heads, they sold great fish & chips as well as fresh seafood.
In the fifty's my dad had the Royal mail contract from Brisbane to Murwillumbah and the mail had to be at the station,
on schedule 6 days a week, the local small crop farmers would bring there produce to our place and that was put on the train as well.

That was very interesting followup on my Murwillumbah photo.

Here is another cropped from Jeff Bounds tram photo.
I am not taking photos specifically for this thread: there are too many, and they are too generic. I can't guess what this one is.
