Modern truck was created by Roderick Smith
It isn't a delivery van, and I don't know what it is. Hence, I can't put it in an existing thread; have a new thread.

This is part of a then & now.
45 years ago, I chased the delivery of Australian Standard Garratt 33 (with numberplate 3) from Fyansford to the Australian Railway Historical Society museum at North Williamstown.
That formed a lengthy thread in a history thread in Sept.12.
< www.hcvc.com.au/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1349009327/0> ;
Since 1968, Bellarine Railway (Queenscliff) has become a major tourist attraction, with 1067 mm gauge equipment from Fyansford and from other states.
ARHS agreed to the repatriation of the Garratt, to be restored to working order.
Today, some of the work happened, but went overtime: the transfer continues on Friday. The prime movers are different, and the solo crane is gigantic.

Here is day 2 of the shift of the Australian Standard Garratt, first the boiler unit, then the rear engine unit plus coal bunker; I didn't stay for the front engine unit.
The design was covered in my earlier thread, on the 1968 move:

I didn't note the operator of this one, but I would guess a Geelong one.

I Took 260 of these red rattlers out of the west side of Redfern under the cover of darkness, the hired help wandered out with about another 80

Here is a 2008 advertisement, also showing large/hairy trucks. As with the previous ad, I don't know the types, and probably don't need to. However, there are many people here who might enjoy identifying them as a test of knowledge.

I was trailing my boat to SA, and noticed a semi tailing me in the distance for several km. I found a spot at the Pinnaroo fruit-fly check to pull over, and found that it was two trucks, each conveying a Melbourne tram. The camera was not at the ready. They were very little faster than I was, and I could just keep pace to get a grab shot of the second turning right onto the town bypass, ie heading to Loxton. I found out later that they were heading to Whiteman Park (Perth) for the operating tram museum there, and arrived on Monday.
I don't know the prime mover or trailer owner or operator. Most tram transfers stage at J & A Arthur, Footscray Rd, West Melbourne.

I have tinkered with the tones on the one which shows the prime mover, and posted it back to TDU.
