The mob that run the buses from the city to Tullamarine airport are advertising being able to go there by double decker. Wonder if it is the one at the top of the page?

They will be the twin steer type made in Qld. The first one of four started running a couple of days ago.

There is also rumours of larger versions coming later, maybe 4 axles.

Too heavy for two axles.

Pakse (Laos): Sleeper buses. Fri.24.7.15. Several ply the ~650 km from Vientiane each night, in ~11 h. This was my first ride in one, and my first viewing of this layout variation: each bunk is a double bed; seven modules along one wall; six plus the toilet and doorway on the other wall. Single occupancy can be booked at a 20% premium. I shared a lower and slept well on the aisle spot; the window man had no trouble climbing over me.

I don't know the chassis. Likewise, I can't recognise the imported trucks and machinery alongside.

They are used around mines in Qld, and it is an OHS requirement for the lights to be fitted.

Well there ha go, never noticed the orange lights on any Irizar's that I have seen - must be a local thing to Queensland.

Greyhound have some contracts up there to cart mine workers around, so the lights would only be needed on those buses. They also get a bright yellow stripe along the side.
