Replied by Roderick Smith on topic Sydney Mercedes O500LE in 2013 (from Jeff)
Botany Rd, Botany (Sydney, NSW), a former tram route: STA Mercedes 0500LE mo 4882 bus. Wed.18.9.13. (Jeff Bounds).
From Australian Bus Fleets:
4882 m/o 4882 Mercedes-Benz O500LE CNG CC CB60 Evo II, STA 567, Dec.08, seating B44DW.
Less likely is the identical 4892 m/o 4892 Mercedes-Benz O500LE CNG CC CB60 Evo II, STA 583 Jan.09, seating B44DW.
Anything else which could match the numberplate is a Volvo.

From ABFL:

Instead of my usual portrait view, have the setting view.

Replied by Roderick Smith on topic Edinburgh (Scotland) tram & buses
This is an experimental start. With tram & bus groups there is the split between portrait and setting desires. Increasingly, we prefer the setting views, as they give an idea of an era: vehicles, clothing, advertisements. Those which have people are useful now for obituaries. With Jeff's bus photos and with mine, I have been posting both to specialist groups, but only portrait here. There is now a new player. One of our anonymous members is in UK, and is taking photos specially to match my interests (many of which coincide with his and the rest of the group). He is particularly struck by the long lines of buses in many streets: dense service, unlike Australia. I am applying Smith processing on tones and sizes, and am giving some level of credit to the supplier without revealing secrets. I'll toss in some settings as well as some portraits, particularly for the first, where the vehicles are remote. I'll alternate Scotland with Germany.
