In NSW, cannot pass bus at more than 40km/h when lights flashing.
Look at figure 2 of this doc.

The same setup exists on the back of buses in Victoria (or at least those doing a school bus run) and the same rules apply.

The same theme on consecutive days: I have other goods things scanned, but not cleaned and retoned, and I am tight for time finishing an RNV before leaving for Brazil.

Richmond (NSW). Busways Scania/Volgren 1140, one of 20 in the fleet. Wed.4.6.14. (Jeff Bounds)
I have given the streetscape view. That petrol station will be a nostalgia item too, soon enough.

This shows a typical Brazil Marcopolo bus: the same maker supplies Australia now. This one has more-generous legroom; all of a toilet; some are taller and have sleeping berths (I saw a twinsteer version of one of these).

Towns have a rodoviario: an elaborate bus station with sheltered bays, multiple ticket offices, snackbar, dining room, toilets, showers, souvenir shops. There are also roadhouses of similar style. On entry you pick up scannable tag, all purchases go on to it, then pay at a cashier on exit. Meals are self serve, and are then charged by weight.

Most central and South American countries run similar bus networks, and much of Asia and Africa. USA is smaller scale, and lacks the elaborate terminals.

In your McHarry photo, the first is an Express body (Macksville NSW) with the bus behind being a CR228L Volgren probably on Scania or Volvo chassis. Colours look to be Benders or Eastwest (I think it is)

That's serious overhang for such a low slung vehicle, and the front looks to be nearly as great.
