Kenworth K123 CR was created by Lachlan
Hi all,
About a year ago I bought a 1980 K123CR from a bloke who parked it in out driveway. He was upgrading to a 1995 K100. I am looking for any info on he history of the truck.
What I know about it is that its chassis number is 404739 and that it was completed on 23/7/80 and sold as a stock truck to Kenworth Footscray.
It was black with green and gold stripes. It has a cream-coloured studded interior and a double-bunk. She started life with a V8 Detroit and 13 speed RR. Now she has a Big Cam Cummins and 20 speed Spicer.
She has a tall rear end (3.77?) and is on airbags. At 100kph the tacho says 1350rpm which tells me she can probably go pretty fast... but I wouldn't know.
A bloke at the Wallan BPs thought she might have been a Tympat truck but I don't think that's right, but it might be. The trailer is a 1988 41' Barker HD which a customer of ours recognised as an ex-Palmtrans trailer.
Anyone know anything about this happy old KW?

Brownie, if you look closely using your X-Ray Vision app, you will see the chassis number on the inside of the door under the sleeper on the RH side of the cab.
It is 404739.
The other specs are inside that door too, but the door's on the truck and the truck's at the farm.
Thanks Brownie and Greenie for helping with the pic upload. I should really show my appreciation for Brownie by getting a KW sticker for his White.
