Me cant C the reason for independant stub axle
ifn U gunna have one fixed straight axle as the drive axle..... might as well have the lazy fixd tooo
or am eye not see n it correctly?

The back end is the standard Volvo 6x2 set up using just one pair of springs with a weight bias on the drive. Was normally fitted with a lift on the lazy but that was banned in Aus

Good pics Rusty,got a soft spot for '86's. Think'in ex oil company re this one...under front exhaust,gray coloured chassis/wheels...Shell or Esso??? Cheers M8.

Ever see one wwith the Robson(sp) drive for the second axle mammoth???
I helped wreck a 6x2 F86 in the first 6 months of my apprenticeship .... had all the lift stuff on it but disconnected
