Here`s a pic of the massive front brakes on a Diamond,gauranteed to keep you nose away from the windscreen

And this next one,about the only way to date a Diamond T/Reo/White of the 60`s vintage.It`s the tag on the front axle.

Yep U got th@ one right
Even when the 1st KW'z bound for Oz had front brakes after much negotiating, so they fitted the front axle DryRd/SlipperyRd switch
we always leave the switch on slippery rd as the front brakes do SFA n dont make any difference to braking ability, but for a rigid truck like them silver bullets /Gray ghosts as rigids me thinks they were a very necessary itim to B able to switch to slippery rd @ times to try n keep control of the beast

them wedge brakes do run smaller brake drums
normal 'S' cam brakes run 16.1/2" drums n me thinkz for memory the wedgiez run 15"
