I have seen it in 4 litre containers but does anyone have it "on tap" at service stations?

Pete,

Unfortunately, at this time we don't have a adequate AdBlue supply chain within our service stations..... so the only options are to go to the dealership/service centre where the particular make of truck is sold/serviced OR have a home base filling station! The HBFS option is a 27,000 litre TRANStank AdBlue only tank and has a AdBlue supplier, in the case of Australia our supplier is NONOx, come in with a bulk tanker and fill it!

Remember that AdBlue is non-toxic and is easy to clean - using plain water!

I know you can buy it in a 1000ltr container as a mate of mine runs it in his tipper. I think he picked it up from UD/Mack in Laverton North and he said it worked out to be about the same price as fuel per/ltr.
I also think it is for sale at the BP in Fitzgerald Road Laverton from a large container size unit.

It sounds a hastle really, a mate of mine is looking at buying a new truck which he proudly tells me is Euro V, but only as long as you can keep the little tank full of this liquid unobtainium.

My mate does at least 2000km per week and he said that the 1000 ltrs should last him 12 months so you dont use that much of the stuff he tops the little tank up once per week.

I somehow thought the consumption was a lot higher, eg 5 to 10% of the diesel used. Maybe a 5 litre container at each fill up would do it.

How ever much AdBlue you use it is yet another cost truckies of the future are going to have to swallow....wont be long and Rudd-nut will be donging you for some carbon tax also. Going to be a happy nice clean world with no truckies cos they all went broke. :'(
