When the engine is running it wont matter what angle it is. When the engine is stopped both will aloow water down the pipe. Cut it at 90' and put a hat on it.

Thanks. Truck lives in the shed but as said for peace of mind I’ll get a rain flap.
Saw one for $12 on maxiparts website

I have had plenty of vehicles with rain flaps on and even though people say they rattle at idle I have never had this issue or it had been there I havent noticed

If it is on vehicle not used a lot its very cheap insurance

Most small trucks actually have a small hole in the exhaust (with a bridge shaped cover) over the hole to drain any water out. If it's had a replacement exhaust, it may not have the drain.

I cut the exhaust down and their certainly is a drain in the exhaust.
Didn’t go with a flap as it would have to be cut 100mm lower as the flap would hit the shed if its up. I’ll see how it goes.
