Road train in Sydney

A few weeks ago I thought I saw a Nace civil engineering road train configuration tipper on the M7. I saw it again today on the 7 at a distance, but it’s definitely a semi trailer with a ringfeeder, and a dolly semi tipper behind it. I know I’m not seeing things, has anyone else seen it. It’s definitely not a B double.

I've seen a bunch of pocket road trains on Pennant Hills road over the last 18 months. obviously before the tunnel opened.

My wife rolls her eyes when I point them out to her. If it was a Border Collie she would be all attention!

Overnite. They're a PBS combination know as an A Double 30Metre OAL (as appose to 36.5Metre OAL for a Full Type 1 Roadtrain) provided you jump through all the PBS Hoops you can go anywhere a B Double can...

I think that this might only be correct for NSW, at last check with authorities in VIC I would still have to apply for each route and there is guarante of getting approval

This was only maybe at the most months ago

I pulled up beside one of Linfox's Volvo roadtrains at Pt Kembla yesterday and on the trailers left side hub caps had a warning sign about the wheel nuts being left hand thread. How did the older generation survive without having everything labelled.

A lot of new trucks have a series of pictures beside the door showing how to get in and out.

Was talking to my neighbour yesterday before he took off about these things and he said they are not allowed into Sydney itself and have to go back to a B Double at Pheasants Nest.
