Seem to recall Mercedes were looking into this, the truck behind was controlled by the one in front via wi-fi or something but I think they gave up on it.
I know I wouldn't feel comfortable just sitting there while the thing went along by itself
Yep back in the mid/late 80s ... They talked about having up to 6-8 in a row with a driver in each ....the front driver drove linehaul then they seperated and each driver did local deliver/pick up ...came back and front driver would linehaul again while the others drank coffee and read books in their cabs
