The more I look at the ball race turntable connected as a hitch, the more problems I see, ball race turntables are a wonderful thing, but they have their limitations, without any downward force there is nothing stopping them from tearing themselves apart. as they say everybody has a great idea that won't work. If it got inspected in NSW it would be grounded.

Louie, the turntable on the dolly seems to be mounted forward of centre of the axle group. That would throw some weight forward. I'm sure some clever dick has worked out the optimal measurements, on his wizz-bang computer.

The problem is not the position of the turn table, it is the lift on the front of the top flange under load of the ball race turntable. Ball race turn tables do handle upward load as in cornering, but somewhat softened by the suspension, I think you would have to smoke a big bag of dope before you would notice any difference to a ring feeder.
