Just picked up this little beauty. I hear you, she asked the same question.

 

Now the real question. Should I use a Cummins or Cat engine in the conversion?

I would go with a Cummins.. Up here the parts / service is a lot mor available.. A lot of the Cat dealers up here in the States have the attitude "If it does not have tracks it is NOT a Cat!!" I do not know how your Cat service is Down Under???
