Saw an interesting rig yesterday, much too quick for a photo though.
White KW pulling a dark blue purpose built B double that was very low, almost down at float deck height.
Carried 6 or 8 Haulpack tyres in pairs, vertically.
Overall height was good and no need for an escort.
Lateral thinking.

Yes that's it exactly.
I haven't been to the central Qld mines since the 80's but judging by the sheer volume of wide load tyres on trucks going passed my turnoff, there must be a huge number of haulpacks now.
