Toll buys up in WA was created by truckin-des
Toll has purchased Mitchells - subject to approval from
the watch dog- for some $110.mill.
Seems nothing or no one is out of reach of this mega
transport/logistics operation. Maybe the books were
right for a take over or is oppertunity knocking further
up the coast ?!!

At least they are only getting taken over not like a few companies around here that have folded in the last week
A.F.H aka Aust. Freight Handling who recently took over P Jones tspt, meetings last thursday, gone on friday.
Heard that Meadner Valley have gone too
and a few smaller concerns too.
At least the WA boys n girls will have the chance to keep their jobs.
Note: no I'm not a Toll supporter I'm just glad to see people with jobs and not on the dole.

When did this happen Tim? Last I heard they became part of Silk Logistics Group in 2008.
The majority shareholder of Silk Logistics is Gresham Private Equity which has links back to Wesfarmers. (Coles, Bunnings, Kleenheat Gas, etc)

Jimbo, not sure Mate. I was at the last Manheim (Fowles) truck auction & there were 26 ex Bunkers KW's & Freightliners & was told that Tolls had bought Bunkers out. They were all 03' 04' & 05' model prime movers. Cheers Tim
