It's a nice thing, two days on the road so far and luckily, the driver loves it.

Trident over the Granite was purely due to looks. They are a few hundred kilos heavier but we load rubbish so don't often get onto maximum weight.

My Boss was down this arvo when it drove in and started to comment that no matter how good it looks, it's still not a Kenworth. So no, he's not totally sold however the saving of around 25k per unit was the deciding factor that got it across the line.

Mack are coming over to have a Kodak moment on Friday, they're hoping to put it in next years calender 8-)

Some play hard to get

so you buy kenworth and pay 25k more than a mack eg.($300,000 kenworth ,$275,000 mack)
then you sell the kenworth and get 25k more than a mack eg.($200,000 kenworth ,$175,000)
you have lost $100,000 on each going on what you fellas said
Question are you really infront going off that the only diffence is feul and servicing

thats just an observation :-/

I can't speak for cunning's boss.
But the way I'd look at it is:
The man bought 4 of 'em. So that$100k less that he has to finance.

$100k over 60 mths is approx. $2k/month. Or $120k or 1/2 a new truck over the 5yrs.

As a percentage of the NEW price. There's not much difference in 'em over 5yrs. (IMO)
THe KW resale price advantage doesn't kick in till there 10-12 yrs old. Im My opinion anyway!!!

That's the way I see it.
Cunning's boss's thinking may be completely different to mine.

"Be who you are and say what you feel...
Because those that matter...
don't mind...
And those that mind....
don't matter." -
