On leakin roofs...
ol mate in the bonneted -- at pimba wasnt too happy with his purchase...
she leaked big time...down into the wiring etc in the dash...
Buggy would cease to function and he would get wet.....
-- according to his account were not too concerned with his plight, after 3 months of drama...
He was a heavy hauler from W.A.
Good and bad stories in all of em..
Usually find if some of the clowns that were drivin some of them..were in fact makin the payments...
Most of the problems would disappear!!
chocs
Yep spot on chocs!!!
Only I'd add a little bit.Mate.
If the same clowns were paying for the brake, Clutch & gearbox bits,
Most blokes R&M costs'd drop substantialy :

A White with a Western Star bonnet, apparently from the Blue Mountains somewhere. Now owned by my brother in (Port Moresby?) Papua New Guinea. Plenty busy doing lots of heavy salvage work in PNG.

To be honest It would be hard to say which is the prefer choice of log truck between them with Mack bring up 3rd position.
The Kenworth T904, T908 and C508 Brutes are the better looking trucks but the Western star offer that big cab.
All I know if someone handed me the keys to either make of them I wouldn't be complaining.
