Hello Ian, The Cletrac could be a model 20 released in 1926. The steering wheel was replaced by brake levers on later models by 1930.
Cletracs had a differential and turning was accomplished by braking either side. My only experience with Southern Cross equipment would be on a no 2 boring plant and 6 and 8ft mills. Regards David.
