Dexta parts was created by To a T
Gidday,
I need help with my Dexta.
Where can I get the brass bush that goes on the end of the gear lever and fits into the selectors. It is that badly worn that when you select a gear on the other side of the 'H' pattern, the stick selects in between the selectors and cannot engage a gear. I pulled the top off and can't even use what is left as a pattern to have one made.
I was talking with the blokes from Bare co at Clarendon and they had no idea where to start looking for this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

David

Hey mate, can you put up a picture of what you need. I might be able to track something down for you.

Gday, I've used Agriline products in the UK for lotsa odd bits, they're listing Dexta gearsticks and housings on there website. Dunno if this covers your worn bit, they send stuff here within a week but the freight is dear!

Gidday,

Thanks dieseldog and Barnyard for the replies. Appoligies for the delay in response but work has got in the way of everything lately.
After alot of searching I found out that there is no bush on the end of the gear lever. These wear through normal use over the years and someone fixed this before by jamming a piece of copper pipe over the end. The fix for this is to rebuild the end with braize.
Done this and like brand new again. Thought I needed to reply in case someone had this problem in future.

Thanks David
