Ha all you truckers.

What are your thoughts on moving a tea20 and slasher in one of the 3 tonne hire trucks. cargo space is 4.2x2.1x2.1.
So it will fit but what about fixing tractor to the rails of the pantech as they are not anchor points in the floor. Recon it will do the job.

Doubt the pan sides would be strong enough.
Second point to watch is it maybe a 3 T truck but what can it actually carry? Check the T and GVM
Think you would be better off with a flat bed and decent rails to tie off to.

If the truck can be driven on a car licence it isn't a 3 tonner, more like 1.5 tonne capacity) Tractor needs to be restrained from moving forward ( usually by the headboard) sideways and backwards ( by chains or load binder straps)

Hi PCP
With the cost of fuel and time nowdays, i think you will be looking at about $1500 or there abouts to move it.
Have you thought of selling it down here and buying another one up there. Could be a cheap option
If that price dose'nt scare you, send me a PM or ring me on 0409 406 183, i might be able to help.
Cheers

the grey Fergie will weigh about 1.2 tonnes. If you have a vehicle with 2.5 to 3 tonne towing capacity then most car trailers weigh around 600kg so that's 1.8 tonnes + the slasher (which I don't have never weighed but would estimate to be less than 200kg)

Mine was delivered here on a car trailer it shared with an old chassis behind a Mercedes Van. It came up from Inverloch to Echuca without issue

Yes, Bruce I did it but without issue?

However it was not the tractor's fault that the trailer hit the Motel owner's car as I was leaving. Cost my insurance Company $1500.00.

Sh*t happens!

Morris.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Sorry Morris, I forgot about that. I had been talking to a friend about rescuing his broken-down land cruiser so was thinking more of the overloaded and swaying taking control of the towing vehicle than what was effectively a car park manoeuvring incident (and no disrespect intended)
