Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

looked like a bit of storm damage in that crop?

We don't have Mass Management yet so legal would be about 50 tonnes.
This was a paddock to shed trip.
There would be about 48 tonne on that load.
Barley is about 650 kilograms per cubic meter whereas wheat/legumes are around 830 kilograms per cubic meter.
Most grain trucks are setup with enough volume to carry a full load of barley, consequently trucks are only partly loaded (volume wise) for wheat or legumes.
We are from South of Port Pirie and slightly North of (cousin) KelDeutz
The dust coming from the rear of the machine is from a chopper designed to pulverize the stems, it is surprisingly quite good in the cab of the header, with a small cab volume high capacity air conditioning system with good filters. If you don't get out the cab for a couple of hours you can get quite surprised at how conditions have changed (temperature and wind).

Yes the crop was laying down very badly in some spots, but it wasn't from one event, it just gradually got lower and lower. It was the last cereals we reapt and the front was pretty much on the ground.

Hi Doubletank, thanks for putting the video up, like probably many others on the forum I have'nt seen grain harvesting from the prespective that you showed. I presume that you were using a drone for your video. It was well done & a steady platform for the video. Thank you. Cheers Tim
