I went to the Estate Sale near Loxton SA yesterday. There were lots of Chamberlain parts and plenty of IH and MH parts tractors, as well as other brands. The scrap man bid to around $100 per tonne and many went his way, although he was happy to sell bits off them. A couple of Sift and a MH 102 tricycle should not have gone to scrap, but no one wanted them. I took a few pics.

Cat Twenty $2800 TD6 $2200

Chamberlain 40K with GM 6-71 $4,100

Chamberlain 45KA excellent $11,000 Lanz Bulldog DR tidy $10,000

Chamberlain 55KA &40 K both Meadows diesel and worked as a tandem $1,000 & $3,200

Chamberlain 55KA fixable $3,200, 55DA motor in pieces but all there and a rare tractor as it was Chamberlain's failed attempt to make the petrol/kerosene motor into a diesel. Most were converted to Ford, Meadows or Perkins $2,600 Super 90,panels with it and too cheap at $2,400

Thanks for the detailed post Tacho. Seems that the collectables are worth more than new price, who would have known? :S

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

That's a yes and a no Southbound. The yes is they cost less in simple dollar terms when they were new, but a no because if that sale was 5 years ago most of those prices would have been double. Most of difference is because of that thing known as the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) and today there is much less confidence about and a lot less money for toys and hobbies.
